Portable Frost Protection Misting System: Trial On Tomato Plants
The importance of frost protection is economically important in the fruit growing industry as the fruit crop is of higher value than other common crops.
A fully automated Portable Frost Protection Misting System that makes use of the latent heat of fusion of water was developed and tested on tomato plants at the Macdonald Campus of McGill University.
The device is lightweight, portable and provides flexible, overhead water misting.
